ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Dr. Conrad Bui

Co-Founder & Chief Training Officer

With more than 40 years of continuous training, Dr. Conrad Bui is a certified advanced instructor in EIGHT different martial arts — including the bladed arts of Kali, Pentjak Silat, and Kuntao Silat de Thouars.

He has real-world experience, too, having worked as a bar bouncer back in his college years.

He’s also earned gold medals in 5 Jiu-Jitsu championships, and even hit double gold in the 2017 American Cup!

If that weren't enough, he's locked in first place in forms and fighting at numerous karate tournaments.

He combined all of the training, combat sports championships, real-world experience, and years of research into street violence to come up with the basis for what would become Tiga Tactics.

When he's not teaching others the science (and magic) of how to break people's bodies, he's healing them as a doctor of chiropractic.

Patrick Vuong

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Patrick is a certified instructor in 3 different systems — one of them being Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, a Filipino martial art that specializes in edged weapons.

For 9 years, he was also a contributing editor to Black Belt Magazine, the world's leading martial arts publication.

And for 5 years, Patrick served as the senior editor of Recoil Magazine … where he got to train under current and former members of America's most elite tactical units — including local police SWAT agencies, the Navy SEALs, and the Army Special Forces, picking up hands-on skills and in-the-field concepts like:

> Advanced handgun and rifle training

> High-risk dignitary protection (bodyguard work, evasive driving skills, and situational awareness development, etc.)

> Force-on-force training (think sparring with guns ... using non-lethal ammo)

> Physiological effects of the adrenaline dump (understanding the negative side effects of the startle response, rapid heart rate, hyperventilation, tunnel vision, etc.)

He's also quite passionate about training up female warriors-to-be, having taught women's self-defense since 2008.

“I want to thank you for a great class and for influencing me in a profound way.... Thank you for motivating me to get off of my rear-end and exercise my mind, body, and spirit.“

Arwen D.

"What I liked was that you broke it down to really simple things so I can walk out of here remembering it. And I like that you did the research — that’s much more useful than anything like this that I’ve been to before."

Shermin Chin

7th-Degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo Karate

"The simplicity of the techniques is what really impresses me. Not only is it simple, it gives me a high percentage of surviving these types of ... ambushes."
